DVD The charity of Christ urges us: Following the footsteps of Christ (The Slaves of Our Lady of Shorrows)

The Slaves of Our Lady of Sorrows saw their dawn in 1935. Its founder was María Serneguet Gallego, known as Mother of the Helpless. It aims to assist single mothers, psychologically handicapped women and the elderly people.

Mother Maria, together with three followers and four of the young women they assisted, were shot for their religious beliefs during the 1936 war. Later on, a jealous priest, Manuel Herranz Establés, was anxious to continue their apostolate. He, along with Mother Esperanza Cornago, are considered cofounders of the congregation.

This documentary shows the lives of the founders and the numerous initiatives of the Slaves, as the centers where they're carrying out a social and Christian work badly needed nowadays.
